Advanced Dental Technology College Station
A More Efficient & Forward-Thinking Approach to Dentistry
Dr. Wright, Dr. Naeger, and Dr. Teafatiller remain actively engaged in learning about the advancements in the dental field. As a result, they understand the difference that updated and innovative solutions can make when improving the patient experience. This is why they are pleased to incorporate a soft tissue laser, AI cavity detection, digital impressions, and a cone beam scanner when necessary. To familiarize yourself with these devices, review the following information and do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions.
Soft Tissue Laser
When treating a patient with advanced gum disease, our team can use a more comfortable approach with our Biolase soft tissue laser. Its concentrated light beam targets bacteria and diseased tissues while also encouraging gum pocket reduction and proper healing. The fluid motion our dentists use in combination with the laser’s precision minimizes bleeding and inflammation while also sterilizing the tissue to lower the risk of infection. With Biolase, there is minimal post-procedure downtime, so you resume normal activity much sooner.
Pearl AI Cavity Detection
With the help of artificial intelligence (AI), the Pearl cavity detection system makes it easy to identify cavities in their earliest stages, as well as enamel erosion and gum disease. The unique software marks the various areas inside the mouth using a color-coded application, and it provides immediate analysis so that our dentists can deliver trustworthy, reliable diagnoses in addition to timely and accurate treatment plans. The result is more comfortable, non-invasive procedures that allow for better patient satisfaction.
Digital Impressions with CEREC
Building lifelike, comfortable, and precise restorations requires accurate smile impressions. In the past, cold dental putty was used, but sometimes, it wasn’t as accurate as technicians needed to produce the best results. Nowadays, our team relies on our CEREC digital impression system, which includes a handheld device that scans a patient’s teeth and gums and projects the 3D image onto a chairside monitor. This highly detailed visual makes it easy for our dentists to send off to a dental laboratory or our in-house milling machine to craft a precisely-fitted restoration or oral appliance.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
When preparing for dental implants, root canal treatment, or any other complex method of treatment, our team at Wright Naeger Dentistry uses our Sirona CT/cone beam scanner. With a 360-degree rotating arm, the device takes hundreds of photos and combines them to form a single 3D model that consists of some of the most intricate oral and facial features. This enhanced, high-resolution imaging system ensures greater precision (and ultimately, exceptional results) when planning to treat a patient with a more extensive treatment plan.
